Welcome to Vamps on the Verge Podcast! 

We’re friends who bonded over our love of watching weird & trashy movies and talking through them. 

 

We don’t just watch movies, we let them take us on major tangents including, Sexy Interiors, Fake movie tattoos, Background Characters we wish had their own movie, Makeover sequences, Childhood movie crushes, Wigs Wigs Wigs, Romance hands, Bad Sci-Fi, Punks on film, ​Oscar-worthy freakouts​, and more.

Queen of Blood (1966)

QUEEN OF BLOOD - an alien species contacts Earth to make contact with humanity. Their interstellar spaceship crashes on Phobos and an Earth ship is dispatched to attempt a rescue. A strange, green-skinned woman is found alive aboard the shuttle's wreck. As they head back to Earth, the crew begins to die, drained of their blood...

Episode 2:

Sisters (1972)

SISTERS follows inquisitive journalist Grace Collier (Jennifer Salt) is horrified when she witnesses her neighbor, fashion model Danielle Breton (Margot Kidder), violently murder a man. Panicking, she calls the police. But when the detective arrives at the scene and finds nothing amiss, Grace is forced to take matters into her own hands. Her first move is to recruit private investigator Joseph Larch (Charles Durning), who helps her to uncover a secret about Danielle's past that has them both seeing double.

Sex & Fury (1973)

SEX & FURY follows Ocho, a gambler and pickpocket, shelters an anarchist and runs into the men responsible for her father's murder. While taking care of the killers, she runs afoul of several yakuza, and the arrival of a European spy complicates her situation.

Queen of Diamonds (1991)

QUEEN OF DIAMONDS follows the alienated life of Firdaus (Tinka Menkes), a Blackjack dealer in a Las Vegas landscape juxtaposed between glittering casino lights and the deteriorating desert oasis. Negotiating a missing husband and neighboring domestic violence, Firdaus' world unfolds as a fragmented but hypnotic interplay between repetition and repressed anger.

Ganja and Hess (1973)

GANJA AND HESS is a once-lost masterpiece of independent horror, the blade of an ancient African knife spreads a vampiric contagion to research assistant George (director Bill Gunn), whose bloodlust soon infects Dr. Hess Green (Night of the Living Dead's Duane Jones) as well. When Hess is enraptured by George's beautiful wife, Ganja (Enter the Dragon's Marlene Clark), he attempts to conceal his terrible secret... but at a high price.

Black Cat White Cat (1998)

BLACK CAT WHITE CAT follows Matko and his son Zare live on the banks of the Danube river and get by through hustling and basically doing anything to make a living. In order to pay off a business debt Matko agrees to marry off Zare to the sister of a local gangster.
